Each of us must have experienced walking on some kind of concrete interlocking paving, concrete pavers, granite sets or on asphalt pavements. And we all know how unhealthy these surfaces are for the joint load because of their extreme hardness; we also know that in case of a fall how very dangerous they can be.

It is precisely as safety surfaces, such as for recreational and fitness facilities, playgrounds, fitness centres, pedestrian precincts terrace and balcony lining, pools, elastic paving, curbstones, stair stringers, barrier-free tapers, retarders, that our products are ideal. However, many of our products are also often applied for floor covering of public buildings with extreme loading in commercial and amusement centres, recreational zones, etc. There are only a few spheres where the advantages of elastic surfaces with their diversity of sizes, shapes, respectively colours may not be used. thus making walking safer and more comfortable in general.

The shock-absorbing surfaces with “softening profiles” are being used in the same way as elastic surfaces. The so-called guaranteed safe height of a potential fall of up to the height of 3 metres is another of their attractive properties. In particular, the general demand for shock-absorbing materials to be installed in children’s playgrounds with crawling and climbing equipment, swings, horizontal bars, etc  from municipal authorities and customers has been growing recently.

For cases like these, firm offers have been processed, based on the demand and particular requirements, from customers or project engineers. We have been recommending the products made ready-to-use, including their laying down by our professional building partners who may also carry out potential finishing and on-the-spot works.

Elastic floor plates are another of our very popular products, with the dimensions of 1000x1000 mm or 500x500 mm, and thickness of 30 or 40 mm. Elastic surfaces obtained by connecting these subcomponents achieve a very high absorption of steps, for example with material of 40 mm thickess realise values of up to 30 dB.

The elastic and shock-absorbing surfaces can be delivered with the so-called EPDM dyed rubber facing layer (red, green, blue and yellow colour hues are being generally delivered or based on the customer’s wishes we can offer an extended range of mixtures with black or in mutual colour combinations). The EPDM layer is highly resistant to the UV-radiation, abrasion and offers high stability. An elastic paving may complete an exterior or interior surface under consideration thanks to a wide range of colours, and can produce a most attractive effect.

The durability of the elastic surfaces compiled from our product range is of the order of 15–20 years. Of course, improper usage (heavy mechanical damages, cutting, etc) or vandalism may shorten their life.
